So when my fuel line burst, before Travis came to the rescue with his fuel line kit, I order factory replacement lines.
According to PET, the feed line is part number 951.356.919.04. That part arrived and looks like it will bolt right in, hooking up to the damper under the hood, and a coupler under the mid-point of the car.
According to PET, the return line is part number 951.356.917.03. This part has a hose that fits onto the FPR, and on the other end has a coupler that would hook up at the mid-point of the underbelly, near the coupler for the feed line. The only problem is, on my car (1986 944 turbo), my return line has no coupler. The hard pipe runs the whole length of the car and ends by the fuel filter/pump area.
Can someone look at their fuel lines under the car and let me know if your return line has a coupler? See pic below. Porsche Marin insists this is the right part for my car based on the VIN, but it just isn't.... Looking for any/all clues your car might give. Thanks.
These are the parts from Marin, both of which are supposed to fit my car.
But my car has one very long return line with no coupler. Does your car have a coupler?

I had a look but couldn't find a coupler on mine anywhere, on either line. I did find this rubber hose which now has me kind of worried:
After that they're one piece all the way back to the wheel arch area. Mine is an 89 Turbo.

I think that rubber line is part of the evap line, not fuel. So you have no coupler on either line??

Thanks for doing that! My feed line has the coupler, but the return line doesn't. I'd say Porsche just updated the parts, but usually they leave a trail of superseded parts, etc.

On a side note, eventually close to last on the list, I am going to see if Green Line Hose and Fittings or
New Line Hose and Fittings located in Calgary can make me a line in Stainless but larger diameter-8 An size with -8An connection on each end.

Wow, thanks for posting those pictures. The Porsche computers don't show any kind of split in 1986 as it relates to those lines, but my car definitely doesn't have the coupler and there's virtually no chance it was changed after it left the factory. I'm stumped. I might have to get out my old microfiche slides. Sometimes they have info that pre-dates PET...
I might be imagining this but I seem to recall a conversation back in 1994 with the mechanic at MCL Porsche in Vancouver talking about replacing the fuel line in my first 86 to a solid line due to it being safer in addition to the fuel rail recall.
I will have to dig through some old photos of my car from when I steam cleaned underneath it. It was the best cleaning job ever with the unit I used
