I have an appointment in May but they scanned it and said it was cylinder three misfire, but once you shut off the key and turn it on again the message goes away it only comes on once in a while

That doesn’t make sense, if they hook up the scanner it should tell them what caused the error message, could be a bad spark plug wire or ignition coil992 Carrera S wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 4:58 pm I have an appointment in May but they scanned it and said sold the three misfire but once you shut off the key and turn it on again the message goes away it only comes on once in a while

Once I turn off the car and restart it it’s back to normal and even when I get that message to Car runs smooth it might be something in the programming when I’m in launch control

Possibly, but full throttle from a start creates max stress on the spark, so if it's ever going to miss, that would be the time. I'm a long-time turbo hot-rodder, and stumbling on full boost is a common thing. If the spark isn't strong like ox, it can have a hard time jumping the gap under all the pressure. Could be something else, but it wouldn't be surprising that for the spark to be good enough most of the time, but not good enough for launch control. Does it happen if you just floor it from a stop without launch control?992 Carrera S wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 6:32 pm Once I turn off the car and restart it it’s back to normal and even when I get that message to Car runs smooth it might be something in the programming when I’m in launch control

No it doesn’t happen if I just step on it but if I push that button on the steering wheel for 20 seconds of overboost it does happen

I just got the car back from the Porsche dealer it ended up being that the steering rack had to be reprogrammed
