I have this part number I was hoping to find.

Part number : 951.106.056.08

It’s of course NLA.

Mine is actually corroded/disintegrated.

Has anyone had theirs repaired? cut it back and use a compression to barb fitting?

I was just trying to rebuild my alternator and in the process decided I need to start updating everything rubber after the jboot broke apart. I figured coolant hoses not far behind.

Its certainly not perfect but some TLC and some paint or replating would definitely go a long way on this one I found on Ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/158077553545?_ ... R8T15_eJaA

I had mine blasted and re zinc plated, you could do the same with paint and some sand paper / steel wool on the one listed above if your current one is beyond saving.

Thanks for the reply! Somehow i missed that when searching ebay. My only concern is the early and late turbos have different part numbers. Likely due to different turbo and possibly different angles.

I pulled mine fully off. I think I’m going to remove all the internal scale I can and paint/rehab the exterior. The nipple end on mine, while beat up, may have enough overlap to get a seal.

Unless someone has the perfect fix. 😂

The only difference in the two turbocharger are the exhaust housing is larger on the Turbo S and later Turbos. That said I would think it’s just a superseded part number and it should be the exact same. Cleaning up yours is definitely a great start and using some pipe cleaners you should be able to get out a majority of the internal mess as well. You have access from the inlets, the sensor boss, and the actual banjo fitting just take care not to mark up the banjo bolt mating surface to maintain a good seal. I went that route for the interior of my piece and I was thrilled with how clean it looked after the fact, just requires a lot of patience!

Any average TIG welder would be able to cut that scabby bit off, and weld a new bit of tube on.

It’s not perfect, but seems pretty solid. I can even sandblast it too.
Make an offer if you’re interested.

Excellent responses! I think I can rehab mine. I haven’t sorted a definitive answer as to why the early and late turbos have different part numbers.

For now I will try to clean and paint this one along with some rust conversion treatment.

Its not possible to say for sure because theres no part numbers on them but at one point I had 3 of these pipes here, Im pretty sure one had a slightly longer section of pipe between the banjo and the sensor fitting.

Unfortunately thats the one I ended up modifying to use with my large turbo and custom manifold so there is no way to verify now.
