I started another mini project. I had a set of 8-way power 964 seats sitting for a while. They were tan color and need some repair.

I decided to recover them in the same cobalt blue leather as the interior from my 82 911 SC and install them. I will also add seat heater, AKA Butt warmer, LOL.

I started with the back part since I think that is most challenging part of the seat. These original covers were leather on the seat surface only, the new ones are full leather.

Here the heater pad for the back section.

Installing the new cobalt blue leather.

Back sections are completed.

Now the seat bottom section next.

Removing the 8-way power switches and wiring.

The foam was in nice condition. I only removed the old batting material which was very thin anyway.

New felt and butt warmer installed and ready for the new leather.

Fitting the new cover.

I'm pretty happy how they turned out for a DIY project.

Now I need to paint the side covers in the same color with some SEM paint. Install the wiring for the power seats and the heater.

Very nice.
Did you sew those covers yourself?

I got the covers from Autoberry. Full leather. They were made quite well. This is the 3rd time I got new leather covers from them.

Super nice job! Even with pro shops, you often see the fabric bunching up around the shoulder area. Yours look factory new!
