914 lower ball joint

I am installing new bushings and ball joints on the front of my '73 914.
I have everything out except for the lower ball joint.
Could someone please tell me how to remove this? Photo attached.

I used a pickle bar and a hammer. It loosened up on the 4th swing. Reinstall with antisieze.
