So whoever had my 944 before me replaced the door speakers with some 6 1/2" speakers and in doing so took out some of the door card. I was thinking of taking a 3d file of the standard grills and seeing if I could stretch or cut and shut it to be able to create a big one to hide the mess until I can afford new door cards...
What CAD programs are people using, I tried in tinker cad, but couldn't find a decent way to get the mounting hole alignment right, think it's 112mm between holes.
Best CAD for resizing speaker grill to specific PCD.

I use Fusion from AutoCad. It does more than I'll ever be able to learn, with oodles of online support. Pretty sure they still have a free version too. I tried FreeCAD, tinkerCad, Sketch-up, SolidWorks, and a few I'm forgetting and Fusion just clicked for me like none of the others could...
p.s., I moved this into the 944 forum, since the 3D forum is intended as a place for posting actual models (stl's). Not a big deal either way, but thought it might get a little more attention here too...

I've seen 3-d stl files for the speaker grills, though I cannot recall where. It might be possible to take one of those and scale it in x and y in the slicer program to fit the speaker mounting holes, and hopefully it covers what you need. The round factory grill holes, along with the mounting holes, might be oval at that point, but likely good enough for a temporary fix. Very little work, the biggest part will be finding the stl file to download.
