From yesterday's Music-Stadt region's Concours. One of our members entered his Singer. What a beauty! I should have taken more pics, a lot more.

I must admit to being conflicted on Singers.

They are of course beautifully engineered but I am very much an OEM fan. At the price they often go for used I could possibly get a 959 or a 2.7RS and for a bit more maybe a 904. Evidently these all carry challenges and have zero modern features but I would be happier in something that came right out of Zuffenhausen:)........

Good points and quite understandable. I'm just a sucker for really nice cars, especially Porsches, so they all put me under a spell. Lol. Your point of the cost is spot on - the money for Singers is off the charts.

And just like that, e-Brake News drops a link with Singer spec and cost data (partially, anyway) on a 300-mile "used" version hitting the market.

I don't know about all of that. A LOT of dough for something that will likely rarely or never be driven, which is a shame.

A new Singer Turbo that was one of two Turbos that came in this week for delivery to their new customers. I didn't take many pics but simply put, it was a flawless, understated and gorgeous example. The paint appeared to be a foot deep. I should have gotten some interior shots - clean and uncluttered.

(Are the Turbos new additions to the Singer line?)

Yes and it's actually a 964 despite its appearance. Just beautiful cars, but I just don't have the DNA to spend that kind of money (circa a million?) on jewelry like that -- let along drive it!

Likewise on your sentiments. And yes, it would be sad to own one and not drive it but the reverse is also true I guess.

I was told the two that came in were at the $1.5m area but no idea if true or not.

Very true, especially if it's going to be driven, which is what it was built to do but scary considering today's traffic and poor drivers!
