I had to get off my lazy butt for the fall racing schedule (old guys don't race in the hot summer).

I have a few good drives going forward.

Many thanks.
I'll admit it has been a struggle to buy a car, I have the cash.

I got a text with the 2" pictures. I asked for full resolution via email. I also sent back my email address to remind him.

No reply. He called me later asking when my check would arrive? WTF?

I went to the HSR race the next weekend at Road Atlanta (I was a three time Champion), and it looked boring. IMSA bought HSR & IMSA is owned by NASCAR.

I hope to be racing with VSDA later this year. Working on my Competition License now.
Just bought a car (not a Porsche though, B-Sedan).
Hopefully I'll see you at an event this year.

I am hoping to get my racing license. I have taken racing school classes at Level Up racing. I have done dozens of track days. i even have a race car! Cayman S, basically a Spec Cayman. I haven't really figured out exactly *how* to get the racing license. The SCCA path seems pretty straightforward.
Any experience with the PCA path? I've read through the documents and it seems like the main thing is to do a lot of DE/ track days getting taught / signed off by instructors... is that accurate?

SCCA or NASA are a great way to get licensed. Most (including PCA) will generally recognize other groups' licenses, with a few caveats and approvals necessary for the switch.

Racing schools also often offer a path to licensing at some level. In addition, prior wheel-to-wheel racing such as in ChampCar or WRL will help in your quest.

PCA has some good info and what-to-dos here: https://pcaclubracing.org/licensing/

Some Porsche Experience Centers have great schools with a pathway to getting licensed, such as what Porsche offers at Barber Motorsports Park/Porsche Track Experience. https://www.porschedriving.com/track-experience/courses
