AFAIK the door hinge pin locates in a plastic or nylon bush. Does anyone know the part number, and is it a PITA to remove the old and fit the new bush? Thanks.

sorry what I meant to say in my last post was that the bushing has never been available as a replacement part from Porsche for the 944. When you purchase a new hinge the bushing is in the new replacement part.

Understood. Any idea how much Porsche charge for the replacement part, or if something like a brass bush could be made?

the replacement hinge from Porsche is arouind $60 if I remember correctly. I have seen where others have just made a bushing from brass or bronze. I do not think it would be hard to do but I would not use anything plastic because the doors on 944's are very heavy I doubt the plastic would hold up for very long.

We're probably an ocean apart. Maybe there's brass tube with the correct o/d, that could be drilled to right i/d.
