Sorry, what do you mean by this statement. You wish your previous block that was sent to Millennium had held together but they seem like a good way to go?333pg333 wrote: Mon Mar 17, 2025 12:00 am I wish my previous block had held together. It was sent to them for Nikasil treatment. Seems like a good way to go.
I'm looking for a block service and don't want to have to send it to LN Engineering since I'm in Canada. Not because of any political stance, but obviously if there is a hit because of tariffs I would like to avoid such.
Millennium is located in Winnipeg as well as Plymouth WI.Jotronic wrote: Fri Apr 04, 2025 11:14 amSorry, what do you mean by this statement. “The cost would be $1925.94 CAD per block to just replate them.
Thank you,

USA/Canada Technical Sales”
This was my recent quote for having the work done in Winnipeg. Only issue is shipping to Winnipeg. Request a cylinder roundness of 0.00025 or better .

One of these days I'll be sending an entire 944 block to them. Sooner, I'll be sending them the cylinders off my V-twin Moto Guzzi to have the "Nigusil" (Nikasil) redone on them. One of the cylinders on my 83 Le Mans project is completely seized. On Nikasil. Yeah.
Also yes, Nikasil in 1983. First bike with it was 1979 IIRC.

I’m tempted to buy a V85 travel when the colors change from what they are now.
It’s not my DesertX or Vstrom 1000 but nice looking. The 2023 Blue color scheme looks great.
Plus it something my wife can ride with the low seat height.

I pulled it out of Bay St. Louis (MS), from a neighborhood that definitely had a meth lab somewhere. Definitely one of my sketchiest buys, but the seller was a good guy. I found the bike in April/May of last year, and I didn't buy it until November. Lol
It's a total restoration project. It was flooded in like 2018 or so. It's 95% disassembled, and then I can strip the frame to repaint it.
Couldn't help you. My knowledge and passion is with old Guzzi's not new ones, although if I had money I would own a Mandello or an R9T probably.gruhsy wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 12:06 pm I’m tempted to buy a V85 travel when the colors change from what they are now.
