Where I left off last, my 944 was running but undrivable until special washers arrived. Everything I had completed up until that point(July 30th) was, I rebuilt the motor, replaced front struts and adjusted the rear struts, replaced ball joints, sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, resealed the power steering pump and rack, replaced all radiator hoses, replaced all vacuum lines and hoses, new tires, fixed power windows, restored Porsche script door handles, fuel lines, resealed brake calipers, bled brakes and clutch, replaced fuel rail and injectors, replaced many other things, and got the car running. Since then I have done proportionally less, but I've also had less time available to work on it.
Before reading the rest i recommend visiting my first post. viewtopic.php?t=2091
I was hoping to have gotten the car running before i went back to school, but sadly this did not come to fruition. I ended up being able to drive the car in late September. After receiving the special washers needed to put my cv axles back on, i was finally able to drive the car for the first time in about 7 and a half months. I hadn't gotten an alignment yet so i took it easy so as to not mess anything up. It drove really well, no issues raised on its maiden voyage. Althoug i did discover that the main line going from the power steering pump to the rack, fluid was seeping through it and leaking slowly so i did end up replacing that. I also found that when I had installed the main shaft seal for the power steering pump, I slightly dented the metal frame of the seal. This ended up causing a small leak coming out of the pump. I knew before putting it all back together that that may be an issue but I was stubborn and when ahead and reassembled it, only to have to take it all back apart.
Getting an alignment for this car was kind of a PITA. The first place i took it to ended up refusing to continue attempting to perform the alignment. When i removed the power steering rack, i did not make sure the steering wheel was locked in position, nor did I note the orientation of the wheel to the position of the wheels and the rack. I failed in this mainly because it was already wayyy off so i thought it would be better to start fresh. But this caused a little issue. When this shop began the alignment, they were unable to get the wheels aligned with the steering wheel because it was off by too much before hand, so there wasn't enough adjustment available through the tie rods. When they asked me to come to the shop so that they could explain it, i suggested that they remove the steering wheel, get it close, and then finish the alignment. But they told me this wouldn't be possible if the car had a clockspring, and if it did i probably broke it since i didn't not keep up with the orientation. But i went home and did some research, and mine does not have a clockspring! So called them back telling them this, but they basically told me they didn't want to spend anymore time on it, and to take it somewhere else. This was frustrating, but thankfully the second place i took it di a much better job. They didn't have to call me three times while they had the car, nor were there any issues. I dropped it off at 8 and was able to pick it up at 2.
After getting the alignment, next i needed to et my exhaust fixed, so i took it to a local shop and they did a good job. Shorlty after though, the tensioning rod for the alternator/ac compressor belt came loose and dropped while i was driving. Over all this didn't cause much damage. When this happened, i noticed a sudden loud grinding type noise but i thought it came from the car next to me, only to find out at my destination that it was infact dragging on the ground. thankfully i had only driven it like that for less than 400 feet. I replaced the tension rod and bolts, put some loctite on there and called it a day. Next i put the bumper back on, and got the lights working. Shortly after i noticed something odd about the rims on the car. They sat super far inboard of the wheel wells. AND one of the front wheels sat farther in than the other one. Turns out i had 3 early offset turbo phondials, and one 928 phone dial rim. I promptly replaced the 928 rim to match the others and ordered 30mm spacers. After that i haven't really done very much. I order a master and slave clutch kit from 944 online because sometimes my pedal would go halfway to the floor and i had to pull it up with my foot, and the master cylinder had a tiny little leak. I received the kit last week but haven't had time to install it. I also went ahead and changed the oil since sooner than later since i had rebuilt the motor, and i replaced the gear oil in the transmission. I also found the car has some water leaks so i ordered all new body seals. Im pretty happy with the progress I've made so far, and had a lot of fun driving it. Currently i plan on keeping the car for a while, but will most likely be looking to sell in about a year. Given the value of porche 944's right now, i likely will not be able to sell the car for what i have put in it. I wouldn't mind some thoughts from yall on how much this car is worth, or able to sell for. Heres some photos

All that you've done is so Impressive. Glad you have it running and drive-able now too - that makes it all worthwhile in my book.
