Coolant tank: Uro or Porsche?

I didn't know URO made them. URO has a pretty bad reputation, but that's not to say everything they sell is terrible. I'd be very interested to see their coolant tank.... Are they way cheaper? I have purchased a number of URO parts for my old Mercedes and most seem like cheap/bad knock-offs, but with some surprisingly good parts mixed in to keep you guessing...

PWIW -- Porsche had a habit of using some pieces from other models, Is there an equivalent VW or Audi tank?

Tangent maybe -- "modern" cars use an external expansion bottle, a bit different from the reservoir in function. In my 928, there's a plastic reservoir that's connected with a Y to the return line from the heater core. Temptation is to add an external bottle and have the factory reservoir completely full. No air means less opportunity for internal corrosion. I have no ides how the 944 system works, but guessing the system is similar. Anybody thinking this way?

I bought the Porsche one after having the Uro heater valve leak at the plastic seams after only 3 months. YMMV of course

I just put on a URO expansion tank, It looks fine... It's not quite as refined in the molding as the factory one but I don't see any reason there will be any issues with it. So I would put it between a new factory one and a 40 year old OEM one. I will update if it leaks or fails in any way.

Still a sad affair that they don't make the turbo version.. Had to shell out 500 EUR for one.
