The press release says the new Ruby Star Neo was 'inspired' by the original Ruby Star, so it will be interesting someday to see the two colors parked side by side. I can't tell the difference in the online pictures, but presumably they are different somehow....?
I just went on the Porsche USA and yes, you are correct. Ruby Star Neo is an available special color on the 718 and 911. I wish my wife wanted a 718 because it would be perfect for her. Someday the rarity of that color ( I doubt many will order it) will make it a very sought after example.

Is anyone else upset that Porsche is taunting us with a new model when we cannot even get an allocation for an existing model?

I am, but I’ll bet it will be just as hard to get allocations for these models. When the GT4 RS was launched, Porsche said it wasn’t a limited edition car and they will make as many as they get orders for.Dr.Mark wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 7:12 am Is anyone else upset that Porsche is taunting us with a new model when we cannot even get an allocation for an existing model?

Indeed. The final year or two of 718 production should be interesting to watch. I suspect the factory is going to focus on 911s, and 718 GT cars (bigger margins) making everything from the GTS down a difficult get.Larry C wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 7:34 amI am, but I’ll bet it will be just as hard to get allocations for these models.
