New Digital 944 Timing Belt Tensioning Tool

Have the factory tool, but definitely interested in getting this one if tarrifs aren’t crazy high. It would be great to have some good instructions on for example where exactly to place it on the belt, there’s not much info on this out there

Thanks,and you are right. At some point I'll do a video on that very point. The factory tool is a high precision instrument deployed in a low precision environment. Kind of like using a precision calipers to measure a jellyfish, while kayaking on a choppy lake.

This is about as close to that as you can get. The inner-workings of the original are pretty fascinating, but kind of a watch-maker's mouse trap. Super impressive, but it's a crank phone in an iPhone world. :)
