This is our dog Nova. She is a rescue from Greece and as such has shotgun riding rights for life in my 944 She loves sticking her nose out of the window while driving.
Wonderful pup! Her expression is one of anticipation of shotgun-riding fun - great pic of a beautiful and content Nova!

A rescue arrived earlier today to join our pack. Say hi to Josie!
She's a Red Heeler mix of some sort and best guess is that she's between one and two years old. She was found near the Duck River in Columbia, TN a couple of months ago - no collar or tag, no chip, no lost dog reports and no takers. She's been In a foster home since then and was badly in need of a real home.
Wasn't sure how it would work out but it is going well so far for a first day. She's a very sweet and gentle dog but she is a Heeler after all, so there's a lot of energy stored in that lean 35 lb body. I have no cattle or sheep for her to herd! Lol.

Congrats, and good luck getting Josie integrated into the pack!
Good on you for giving her a home
And, not to be outdone by Tim, here is my rescue that I got 4 days ago:

Joey was a stray in Houston who languished in the BARC shelter there for a month and was beginning to shut down. A small rescue here in Fort Collins brought a few of their dogs up here to re-home them and I was the lucky guy to bring Joey into my life. He is a superb little guy and fits in just great with me and my other rescue, Holly. I hope these images will show him, I'm not great with posting images here.
Tim, I love your new gal, Josie! Maybe Josie and Joey will meet and get married one day!

What a sweet, sweet doggie. His expression says a lot and, I imagine, hides a lot of tough slogging. It's heartwarming to know that he finally has a good home. Lord knows he deserves it.
Your pics are great - better poses and images than the ones I took today of Josie. (I'll get better ones in time!)
Joey and Josie - great names with similarity and timely adoption coincidence of the two new Carpokian rescues. I love it! Karma! (We need more pet rescues from kind souls.)
Congrats Tom and a big thanks for helping the little fellow out.

This is Coconut. We adopted her from a rescue about 2 months ago. She was billed as a Aussie mix but according to her DNA test results she a 3 way mix of Blue Heeler, Husky, and Great Pyrenees. She's about 8 months now and finally not chewing on the entire house.

Wasn't looking for a puppy but here we are. When she is really excited she "talks" like a Husky.
Also learned not to let her run free in the rain, she will dig a hole and roll in it endlessly.

Every day has been an adventure.
Loving it! And yes, adventures abound with new canine family members, although I think our mix (Red Heeler, Aussie, whatever else - the blue eyes?) is a bit older (our Vet thinks somewhere around 18-months old), so not so much work as your puppy. Having said that, Josie does need home acclimation and training - I don't think there was a lot of that in the first stage of her life.
The pic of Coconut wet after her rain mud bath is priceless (although probably not so much at the time for you). They do know how to have fun.
Ours came from SPCA-TN. They, Musik-Stadt PCA and Porsche of Nashville had their annual adoption event at the dealership three Saturdays ago.
