I've been playing with packaging ideas that might let me mail it in a regular legal envelope. I'll put one in the mail that way tomorrow. It 'should' work and would make sending these things around the world sooooooo much easier (no forms, no trips to post office, etc.)

I got my LED kit from Brian Peck (aka Perry951), which worked fine but was begging to be 3D-printed now that 3D printers are readily available. If I were doing another right now, I'd probably just get the 944online kit. Easy plug and play without any of the fuss and/or modifications involved in some of the other kits. I'd redo the reflectors at the same time, either with the 944online kit or with a DIY solution. I had great luck with shiny hvac tape....

I will send you $$
FYI, I did send one to you on Friday in a regular legal envelope with a regular international forever stamp. The gear is 6mm tall, and the official thickness limit for an envelope is 1/4" (i.e., 6.35mm) -- so in theory this should work, but we shall see....

Are you planning to print your own? If so, would love to see pics and hear how that goes. :) I used a resin printer with a high-end resin, and have a handful of those left over if helpful.

Hi Tom,

I don't have a 3d printer. Can I buy a gear from you? How much will it be shipped to 91792?

Thank you

The odometer and trip meter on my 87 944 NA broke a while ago so I shall be following the excellent guide posted on Carpokes to find out what s wrong and fix the problem.

It is possible to buy replacement gears here but, of course, I need to know how many teeth were on the broken gear which means a delay with ordering and posstage so I shall invesigate using the 3D print file. I am in the UK and there are local services that could potentially print this for me - finding out the cost and time will be interesting.

I shall post on this once it is in process.

I've had luck sending these in a regular envelope using an international forever stamp. When you get to 3 posts, PM me your address here and I'll send you one. If it turns out to be the wrong one, no harm done...
