Hello All,

Name: Scott Gray

Location: North Ridgeville, Ohio

Current Fun Cars: 1999 911Carrera, 1966 C2 Corvette

Occupation: Retired

First Porsche: 1977 911S.

Dream car when young was always a 911 Porsche. When able finally bought the S then 1982 SC. Had that SC for over 22yrs! (Still miss it). Not a Corvette guy but a “mid year” 1963-1967 Vette was always on my bucket list so finally pulled the trigger. Trust me, doesn’t drive or handle like a 911! Like comparing apples and oranges but fun car. Still, and always will be, a Porsche enthusiast.

Welcome to Carpokes Scott! I'm also a prior 'Vette guy - had a number of them, including my favorite gen (same as you), a 1966 C2 roadster 427/390hp with both tops. Had that car for almost 30-years.

While I also miss the '66 at times, it and other newer C6 and C7 Corvettes weren't Porsches, that's for sure. The Corvettes are fine but they are not Porsches. I love the P-cars!

Purposely went with the small block 327/300 for the Vette. BB will get me in too much trouble! Porsche is a cab so wanted a coupe on the Vette. Definitely agree the Vettes are fine but they’re not a Porsche! Always wanted a 930 turbo, maybe one of these days? Have a ‘21 RAM, daily driver ‘22 Subaru. Northern Ohio Region PCA

Welcome 2nd attempt and nice garage mates. I have a 22 Ram to pull around my GTS and I admit to loving that truck at least half as much as my Cayman, ha. The Vette is from my era and the 327 with 300 HP is still a nice motor for cruising the roads of Northern Ohio --- like many I just love the look of that Generation.
