[Hello Carpokes!
Totally new to wrenching but forums like yours and plenty of videos have helped me progress with my 1987 924s that I got on the cheap. It was starting but hemorrhaging oil when I finally got it to the house. 9months later of garage hibernation and as I am sure most everyone here knows … one thing led to another.. 😔

Cam and head gaskets replaced , head resurfaced, fuel injectors cleaned and tested, led to changing fuel filter and pump, while taking off the fuel straps this exposed a pinhole leak in the tank…
Fuel tank out and patched. It was a beast getting it back in….

But list below of some of the things done.. car was northern and seemingly not likely garage kept so pretty crusty. It’s fair to say I would have been scared to do all this if I paid more for it. But has been a pretty great learning experience (NC944er and irina25661 have been invaluable) with much more to go

Intake exhaust manifold gasket change and hardware change
Timing belt balance belt change
Camshaft and head gasket rebuild
Head resurfaced
Valve stem seal replacement
Exhaust manifold hardware replacement

Fuel tank refurbished
Fuel pump strainer
Fuel injectors cleaned& tested -Marren fuel injection
high-pressure feed and return lines (Rennbay fuel line kit)
New fuel filter/pump

New short shifter linkage -
New shifter linkage arm

Soft/hard brake lines changed
New master cylinder
New Lindsey racing exhaust ( pre muffler/ muffler/ slanted tip)
New O2 sensor

Rebuilt calipers - PMB
Parking brakes redone

Transmission oil change
New distributor cap
New spark plugs and wiring harness

New passenger door handle

Suspension will be the next to tackle after everything checked out…
Look forward to gaining more knowledge in this forum.
Also I would like to get the belt tensioner as I don’t have the experience to trust the twist method and Annwerks seems done…

@nagykurva

That's quite the project you've undertaken! Hats off for confidently jumping into the fray and undertaking a "let's figure this out" project. Awesome!

Plenty here who can help, so ask away and join in when you can.

Oh yeah, welcome to Carpokes!
