I forgot about your amber side markers P_Coastal. Another amber retraction for P_ on the way from me. Two so far and counting... Reminder, your 718 is gorgeous - I say that every time you post a pic. Something about it. Don't ever let it go!

Have a great Labor Day Weekend and I will Chalk up our one extremely minor difference of opinion to the high degree of corn sweat in the air of Nebraska this Summer.

PS - keep this between us but I do have the stock amber side markers in a box in a secure place in my basement.
P_Coastal took delivery of his Cayman this past May so the birthdays of your two cars are close - family.

I have a feeling he is going to be very helpful to his little brother! I know neither one of us will never be Chalk-bored!

It's a compatibility thing, to me. Amber markers are fine on Lava Orange, and even Guards Red. The whites, silvers and grays can go either way. Most anything else (especially the blues and greens) need the clears.

I replaced my ambers habitually but on two cars (Panamera Turbo and 992RS) the Euri versions of the cars) have no side markers at all, so it appears I am out of luck for a clear replacement.

I guess we go both ways since my wife's Macan still has Amber lenses. She likely is totally unaware of that and will somehow be able to continue successfully forward in life! Innocence can be bliss!

It looks great, congratulations.

The side markers are a personal choice, and to me it depends on the car, and the color. Chalk could go either way for me.

Ok. True Confession Time - I must come clean to 'Pokes World.

The Cayenne Turbo still has its factory ambers. I know, sacrilege to those of us in the "clear" encampment. But like Willy, it's my wife's car and she'd never notice unless I brought it up specifically. Even then, she'd say something like "so what" or "what difference does that make?"

However, being the darker Quartzite Grey Metallic, it would definitely benefit with the clears. The ambers stick out like a sore thumb to me but even so I've never bothered to change them.

PS - It still looks good either way. It's a Porsche!

Congratulations Bill, great looking car. I hope you are loving it so far!

I like how this thread quickly devolved into a side marker thread! My personal opinion is it depends on the color but to each their own.
