How odd. In one fell swoop we lost Rick the Salesperson (replaced by a new Salesperson), and then received notice we got June allocations(!).
Unfortunately, while that could have been exciting news, the reality is that we highly doubt the COVID situation will allow us to travel to Europe then. It's a dilemma, right? We've confirmed that if we accept the allocations as-is, and then for whatever reason we can't go to Europe, Porsche will just ship the cars to Canada. Nooooooo!
Kinda flies right in the face of the main reason for doing all of this this way - to drive those cars around Europe!
I'm a bit miffed that our new Salesperson isn't really being very helpful in terms of seeing what other options are available for us. Could Porsche store the cars if COVID won't allow us to travel? The previous Salesperson had said they were being VERY flexible with deliveries because of the pandemic situation, but that's now feeling like that was all a bit of a smokescreen, as the new Salesperson is pretty stonewall-ish.
So, unfortunately, we've got to push back the dates and give up our allocations, as there's no way we want to take the risk of NOT getting the cars in Europe.
