Does anyone here have a factory 9246 blink tester as sold by Porsche? I'm thinking it would be cool to make a highly authentic functional replica, just because... Here's the only picture I can find, but figure they must be out there somewhere. Looking for any/all pictures of these that anyone might have and/or to borrow or buy one to have in hand for modeling purposes....

I didn't even know this existed! It would be kind of cool to have a replica. I mean you can use an LED or even a multimeter but it's a little more convenient to have something that just plugs right in, even if it's only because it saves you having to look up which pins are which. I have no idea where you'd get one though.

If anyone can make one I'd buy it. Or an original. Would be good next to my Durametric scanner.

Thomas Voigt used to make them 15+ years ago, not sure if he still does. Perhaps check with him directly. A friend of mine bought one from him.

I went on a mission a couple of years ago to find these, and after finding the part number (000-721-924-60) I bought two of them from AutoAtlanta for ~$56 each. I was bummed to see they were marked as Made in China. I believe AutoAtlanta still have these, but their prices have increased to $85.

Very cool find. I may order one just to confirm size and functionality, etc., but I still think it would be cool to replicate the original that says made in Germany on the top. I also have to wonder if the toggle switch wiped out a W. before the Germany. My car says Made in W. Germany all over it.... I guess it just depends on what year this one was made....

Finding pictures of the original is like finding pictures of Big Foot. I can't quite tell what the logo and brand/word is at the top that starts with W -- any ideas?

@Tom did you see this?
Maybe reverse engineer your own using this.

Bumping this to get details on how the tool works? Am I correct to think that if flipped in one direction, the toggle switch turns on the green light and shorts the terminals needed to set base idle, and when flipped in the other direction the green light goes out, the terminals are not shorted, and the red light blinks with any KLR fault codes?
