Hey Tom, $75 - $95 seems about right.Tom wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 1:43 pm I've been mulling the idea of selling the mode dial covers. My idea was that I'd still give them away to truly active Carpokeans, but for people who don't want to wait and/or don't have the intention/desire to contribute or stick around, this would be a way to get one, probably limited to my standard red or yellow.
Of all the bezel parts I've made, to me the mode dial covers look most like a factory upgrade, and the least 'home made' etc. The sports chono bezels for the 922/Taycan are a close second. I've all but stopped making the 992 Tach rings because it takes an inordinate amount of time to paint those with a Porsche-like finish quality. But I digress.
So.... my question is: if I were to sell them, what do you think is a fair price for the 718 (or very similar 992/Taycan) mode dial covers in red or yellow?

Our dial never fails to get great comments from Porsche cognoscenti. Definitely a tasteful and uniquely special accent that always makes me smile…thanks again Tom!seattledl wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 7:54 pm I think random rewards are nice - just announce it here and there, and either have some available for people who see the announcement, or some for people who post in a quality and engaging way....or a combination
(I get nice comments on my dial cover often!)

I'm a cheapskate at heart, and probably anything over $75 (including shipping) would turn me off, but Tom, you alone know the actual cost of these things, plus your time, even if you get a kick out of it, and then shipping hassles. You have certainly been most generous with the mode dial covers, bezels, CarPokes stickers and other paraphernalia, and even if it has been a labor of love I know it is adding up. So...maybe $35-50 shipped? And that still won't prevent you from sending one gratis if a CarPokian contributes significantly to the forum.

Let’s keep in mind that the only other drive mode options are:
1. Leather cover from Exclusive Option at several hundred dollars
2. Painted one, as part of a new wheel, from Techart - over $3,000

Having learned a bit from the bezel covers, I'm going to ask (beg?) the newer members who want these covers to embrace carpokes by setting up avatars, posting an introduction and/or picture of your car, posting a bit, helping to spread the word about carpokes, etc. No specific requirements, and I never say no honestly, but I'm hoping these covers become something of a badge of honor for those who share the growing esprit de corps here on Carpokes!

Hi gang, I finally got the car delivered from the dealer with clear bra and ceramic coating completed from local PPF shop along with Michelin AS 4s mounted. I installed the trunk liners, lid protectors, Porsche winter floors mats and RGS side grills. Plan to install the RGS front grills tomorrow.
Now please lord grant me the will power to keep the car under 4000 rpm for the next 2K miles!
