An amazing story continues....

In late 1985 a dentist in Miami Florida custom ordered a 1986 Guards Red 911 Carrera 3.2. That dentist kept the car for almost 30 years. Several years later that car found it's way to me via BaT (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1986- ... arrera-33/) and came with documentation back to day one. One day a couple years ago I got a random private message from VWVortex from the grandson of that doctor asking if I was the one that bought the car on Bat. Apparently, that doctor passed away and while the family was gathering they found the VIN number of the car and Googled it. We exchanged emails back and forth for quite some time and he sent me story after story of that car and growing up as a child riding in the back seat and how his mom went to Germany with his grandfather to pick up the car. I even got pictures of the day that car was picked up in Stuttgart.
On Thursday the grandson and the mom came to Colorado and made a trip out to see me and the car. They stayed for a few hours and we talked about all sort of cool things about this gentleman and his passion for cars. I'm still smiling and feel beyond lucky to be connected in someway to the original owner.
