Porsche 991.1 technically inferior to the Porsche 991.2?

Great post!.

I got my hands on a 991.1 for a week in 2012, ( pics below), and had the opportunity to compared it with my 997s. I will not got into the many positive differences, but the two items I was not too happy with were the electric steering and the PDK. The latter was more of an issue with familiarity I imagine, but the steering lacked feedback compared to the hydraulic steering in my 997s. Obviously it was a much more comfortable car.

What is interesting is that they seemed to have done a lot of work to improve the steering feel and by the time I got my 991.1RS it was pretty much as sharp as the 997s

While the 991.2 was technically superior ( including the RS) I did not think I would see the benefit unless I was going to go to racing school, and so hung onto it. I have it still.
