Hi everyone… santirx here. just joined, invited by @Teddis and @Kapetajr. I’ll be posting a series of DIY soon…
A bit more about me, I’m the original owner of the 2015 Porsche Macan S in photo below. Ordered it back on July 2014 and took delivery on Nov 2014. Since then, I’ve made a lot of mods and DIY that includes changing air suspension compressor and rear air bags, complete audio upgrade, Thermostat replacement, LED headlight replacement, as well as many others…
I had been a member of other related Macan forums since early 2014 and active contributor in those other forums…

Hi - I have a 2018 Macan and love it! Been a Chevy guy all my life and drove a friend's Macan and wanted one of my own. Love it, but have one problem. I lost a license plate in the first 2 weeks! There is no solid license plate bracket or anything on the rear valance. The plate was just screwed into the plastic and it fell out! Does anyone have any ideas on how to secure the rear plate!?!? I ran across a guy from this website that made some cool brackets for 992s on a 3D printer, that I thought would work great, but apparently he doesn't make them anymore. Any ideas out there?

Hey, I'm that guy! Where did you hear that I stopped making them? What kind of Charlatan told you that!? Go back and correct the record. There was a guy who briefly offered to print his own knock-off of my mounts, but let's jus say they weren't the same and I think his effort fizzled out, so maybe that's what you heard.Porschenewbie wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 4:17 pm Hi - I have a 2018 Macan and love it! Not only are we still making them, we've moved on to milling them from solid ABS plastic to keep up with demand, and have expanded the line-up to include mounts made specifically for the 718 as well as the 991/992/981.

That said, I have not yet checked to see if either of the existing mounts would work well on a Macan. Can you post a picture of where your license plate mounts, so I can see which would be a better fit (and/or if another design is needed)? Thanks, and Welcome to Carpokes!!
I have been waiting on a trim part for my Macan for over three months. The dealer says there are supply chain issues with Porsche. He said they have 1500 parts on back order from Porsche. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones, my part isn’t critical to the operation of the vehicle.

Hey all - Thinking of changing things up a bit. Does anyone know what is the suggested offset on 18" wheels for the Macan. I have a 2018 Macan, love it, but want to change up the wheels. Was thinking of some 18x9.5 (47 offset) rears and 18x8 (52 offset) fronts. Any afficionados out there that know if these would fit? Thanks.
