late style horn slipring with blinker cancel tab : 3D print?

I broke the little tab that cancels the directional signal. The new part is over 100 dollars. I will try to fix it by plastiwelding with the addition of some metal reinforcement pieces. But this seems to be a perfect candidate for a 3D print solution. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner or printer. Has anyone done any work on this part before?

For background, there is an early and a late version of this part and they look extremely similar. The early version is very cheap to buy new and I think it is a VW part number. The later style is a porsche part and is expensive....

Yes, added picture to first post.

This is for my non airbag wheel on 1987 944. I have a 968 clubsport wheel but I think this part is the same for any non-airbag 944 with the later interior. The plastic directional cancel tab is integrated into the metal horn slip ring and is replaced as a unit, but I don't see why the plastic piece could not be removed and replaced as needed.

You're right, that looks like an easy 3D print. I'll add it to my list, but no promises on timing. The list keeps growing faster than I can seem to manage...
