I came across a YouTube video where someone installed it, if I recall correctly it was more plug and play than the Lindsey unit.

I've been a follower of NC944er's videos for a while, and I believe he tried the Lindsey set-up earlier, before going over to this one.
Since 944year83 is over here in Europe, the Storch kit might be easier to get for him. Two other options would be the 928-944parts.com set up from Holland, or the Augment Automotive set-up from England. Each set-up has its own upsides and downsides. I've gone for the Augment kit, since I want to be able to play around with my tune with my laptop, but it's the most expensive of the three.

The Storch kit is also nice for early 944 owners, as it doesn’t require a later year dme replacement to put a chip in.

It costs €1000

Yup, not cheap for what it is.
