Shartoberfest was the premier SoCal region Porsche 928 event for many years It was hosed at 928 International for most of the time. The highlight was in 2004, when a record number of 928s joined. These photos struggle to capture the number of cars. I made many friends in the 928 community there. Dr. Bob was one of the key members that made Sharktoberfest was it was, thank you Bob!

The 928 Owners Club www.928oc.org is a worldwide internet-based group of enthusiasts. Our mission is to support 928 owners in their use and maintenance of their 928s and to foster camaraderie among owners throughout the world. Our team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers is here to assist you in achieving these goals. We're looking for volunteers in the SoCal area to bring back such a regional Porsche 928 focus.

The 928 Owners Club, as part of our charter, has a process to provide financial assistance for face-to-face meetings with a formal process for consideration. The longest running 928 focused event is Frenzy 928, hosted in Sterling VA, which will be celebrating the 30th year in 2026. Another upcoming event is July 17-18, 2026, Sharks Discover Columbus IV. The club also has a registry with over 4100 cars, the count is growing daily. We invite you to include your Porsche 928 with photos and an other information that you'd like to share. Integrated into the registry is a VIN decoder which has factory option information for most of the newer models. You'll find all the information here: https://www.928oc.org/928-registry/registry-faq
