That's awesome! But at current bid ($21k+ as I type this), I could buy a really nice 944, 996 or early Boxster instead. Far more likely I spend my cash that way...

Wow! When I posted the link yesterday the high bid was $4,100 and I thought that amount was up there. Now I look and the very next bid 4-hours later was a massive jump to $17k and now it's over $21k. Little did I know .... Anyway, the work appears to be of the very highest quality.
There appear to be three in the bid game at the moment with 4-days left in the auction. The bidding is likely being driven by a dealership or an auto museum or a high-end collector.

Agreed on the dealership or shop of some kind. It's very cool, but without a venue to really show it off, and the ability to write it off, I'm not sure who'd pay that kind of money for it...
