Those of us with Cayman’s or Boxter’s with “Porsche Entry and Drive” have a dummy ignition key in the ignition slot to start the engine. Unfortunately, it’s made out of cheap black and chrome colored plastic, and IMO, has no place in the Porsche interior.

I was able to get my dummy key wrapped in Porsche leather with deviated stitching to match the rest of my interior - black leather with chalk stitching. The key now looks like it belongs and the tactile feel when starting and stoping the engine is much better. I’m surprised that Porsche doesn’t offer this as an OEM option.

Did you have the done by an upholstery shop? I'm going to looking into getting this done for my Macan with blue stitching

I bought it from Exclusive Option but I know that Edguards was also working on a leather wrapped dummy key.

Any OEM leather and stitch combination should be available

Please post photo of your dummy key. It may be different than mine
