Bought new rubber grommet/sleeves for these headlight wiring plugs.

I was hoping that the connectors can be depinned so I could pull the individual wires through the new sleeve.

Does anyone know if it can be done with these connectors? I need to either purchase or borrow a set of tools to try it.

Let me see if I have an old one I can operate on. Are they the same as the O2 sensor connector? Suppose you could always hide solder joints under the sleeve?

Thanks Tom - it looks like the same type of connector as the O2 sensor.

Cutting and soldering might work if I had to... Ideally, I'd like to keep it as original as possible and not have to cut any wiring. I'm avoiding hacks if I can help it, even the hidden ones.

Awesome, you saved a spare connector. No apologies needed at all! Way better than posting a question, figuring out the answer, and then not sharing the answer!

I'll take a look at that video, that seems like a good find. Those SureSeal (from ITT Cannon) connectors are not expensive but the tools to service them are hideously expensive.

@gb951 - Those are the ones I ordered, but I got them directly from the company and paid an extra $10 for shipping. Ugh. They are expected to arrive today.

I was able to remove the male pins with a tool I borrowed from a neighbor. The females ones don't fit the borrowed tool.

Will try those and post an update once I get the delivery.
