Hello,

First post! Yippie!

Looking for a good way to drain washer fluid on a 992. Seems that whatever the dealer put in it is not winter friendly. The car lives in a heated garage, so no longer term concerns, but would like to put the winter fluid in it. I got my hands on some of the Porsche fluid to start... maybe there is a better solution... anyway, any ideas to drain the tank? Leaning toward jamming a piece of tygon tube down the filler and siphon as much as I can, then pump the rest out through the system.

You can get a a little hand pump like the one linked below, but honestly I'd probably just squirt it out. I doubt the pump heats up much, but I'd probably do it in a series of shorter squirts with plenty of rests in between just in case. When I was a kid, my parents borrowed a relative's fancy car, which was the first time I had even seen power windows. My brother and I sat in the back seat and played with the windows constantly until one of them started giving off that electric fire smell and stopped working. It started working again after about 10 minutes, but was a life lesson that stuck.

I tried a pump but couldn't get the tube past the junction of the filler neck and the tank. Maybe I'm too dense but I couldn't get it to work. I wound up using it all in 5-10 second bursts on a drive. Certainly made a mess but got the job done.
