Can the transmission handle be replaced on the 944?? Has anyone ever had it off??? Parts are few in between because of the limited selection, But I was wondering if anyone knows the internal parts of the unit…

Yes, the shift handle is removeable and can be replaced. There are two versions, one up to 85 and another from 85.5 up. What year is your car?
