It's that time of year, and I am in Canada , so cars have to be prepped for winter. I have a lamentably casual attitude to this. They are tough cars, so I spend no time worrying about them. No oil changes unless scheduled, any required bits and pieces in Spring when it is time to drive.
(1)Cayenne and Panamera: Winter rims fitted - all prep done.
(2) 997 RS : Same as every year for last 17 years-
disconnect battery, put a small piece if foam under trunk lid so I can open it in Spring, fuel stabilizer and cover it. No access to power .
(3) 991RS: Plug it in ( have power) , fuel stabilizer, cover it.
(4) 992RS- is in container from Rotterdam after Nürburgring tripand will be in Toronto end of month. Straight to a commercial storage facility and I am unlikely to see it till April. They will plug in (necessary for lithium) and let me know if there is any obvious damage.
My elaborate winter car storage preparation..(not)

Pretty similar to my process, except my older cars. This year I am going to be trying to drive the 718 all through winter, except for snow, then I bring out the beater truck.
My GTR gets a full detail, up off the ground, trickle charger, and that's it... I sit in it from time to time in the winter dreaming of the summer
Wait a sec.... Were you recently featured on Misha's Youtube channel at the Nürburgring track????

Yep, not planned, just dropped in to see him and he wanted to try the 992 ( he has lots of experience with them), so he headed out to the track with my son who had never been to the NS. Car is very capable indeed in the right hands.
