"Porsche Debuts The 2025 911 GT3 And 911 GT3 Touring Package, Starting at $222,500"

https://news.dupontregistry.com/porsche ... at-222500/

"...the new Porsche 911 GT3 models will arrive at U.S. dealerships in the summer of 2025."

According to our dealer, they won't appear on the configurator (consumer version or the dealership's internal config) until the end of the year or early January.

A Touring version sure would be sweet!

What I love the most are the rear seats in the Touring so I can enjoy the car with the family. But I’d have to sell a kid to afford this car so it’s a moot point.

The base price is already very high, so any options (of which there would be many such as rear seats) will easily push MSRP past 275k I imagine even without PTS or special CXX add-ons that these cars tend to attract. (That seems to be especially true for the Touring models.)

And then there is ADM which has now become the standard across the board at most dealerships for Porsche's GT and special edition cars, even for their best customers. Add in the 10 to 15k Porsche watch and Euro delivery that Porsche is all but requiring nowadays if a selling dealer is to get further allocations, and suddenly the cost has soared past the moon. So unfortunate.

As I understand it, Porsche doesn't explicitly force buyers to buy a Porsche bespoke watch nor do they force dealers to sell them with the specialty cars. Rather, they entice dealers with additional allocations of certain models (unspecified, but probably hard-to-get 911s of any kind) if they sell the Porsche bespoke watch and Euro delivery with the halo GTs and special edition 911s such as the S/T.

Bottom line is that GT and specialty 911s are basically off the table for many of us these days and I imagine it will last as long as there are buyers willing to pay the price.

I'm still hoping to get a Targa GTS allocation at some point, one without the unwanted extras.

Probably because you didn't have your checkbook out offering them the $10 to $15k in exchange for that "exclusive" watch! Lololol.

My watch. I got a bargain! It's gone up $0.41 since my purchase!

I gave up wearing a watch a couple of years after I retired. So I guess I wouldn't even be considered for a new GT3.

You could mount in a shadow box on a wall. (The watch, that is!)

Nah. No room for a shadow box. I have too many guitars hanging on the wall.
