Anybody have pictures of how the batwing mounts to the bumper and undertray? Different screw holes, brackets, speed nuts, etc.

This might help a bit. The actual black part is just the screws at the bottom in the 944online picture. The rest must be to attach the back to the metal under trays and such. Mine is off now, and fingers crossed will be on the lift tomorrow so I can take some pics for you.

Hoping to avoid dropping $100 on some screws and brackets. Unfortunately does not look like there is any other collection on the market anymore other than local hardware store.

the 9 speed nuts are obvious to me. How the sides mount to the bumper I can't seem to find any clear pictures on. It looks like the batwing should have a stud/screw on the most lateral hole.... my brand new batwing from the dealer doesn't seem to have that.

Also what are the rivets for in the 944online kit?

Here are some cheaper shoulder washers that I bought for this purpose. Double check the dimensions.

I just use hardware store screws to put the whole thing on. As long as you have the speed nuts on the car, they are pretty forgiving about screw size -- no real need for $100 hardware kits unless you want it just so....

I wondered about the rivets too...

Oh wow there's a screw/nut set available for this thing? Wish I knew that.

I think the rivets were for an older mold of the batwing. Looking at pictures online, maybe the earlier models used a 90 degree metal bracket with some speed nuts, riveted to the batwing, to attach to the 3 points on the belly pan. The later design has the 3 attachment points molded in.

The rivets were for the older designs. Porsche has revised that batwing multiple times over the years. Depending on which version batwing you may or may not need the rivets. We include them just in case. Currently everything in that kit except for a few nuts and washers are genuine Porsche hence the high price tag.

If I remember correctly the ends of the batwing are attached to the front of the wheel liner using the L brackets that are in the kit. Its been about 5 years since I had to remove or mount one so I'm relying on my memory
