I am in need of a Boxster in the Dallas area. No driving required. I need to take some measurements for an Outlaw build of a 1968 912. I will drive to you for convenience. My 912 is a rusted out mess needing everything including all of the structural pieces. It’s really unrepairable. I am considering taking a 986 or 987 and putting the 912 body on it. Before I go buy a Boxster from salvage I need to take some measurements at the cowel to see if it’s feasible.
I believe it will only take an hour or so. Thank you for your consideration.

I don't have a car in Dallas for you, but your post made me think of this project, which might be of interest...

The video played fine. That is more or less what i am considering, just taking a modest approach to the basic 912 body.

For all that work, they could have just built a tube frame and had it sit right. That is a horrible disaster with terrible proportions.
