I decided to turn this thread into a log for some of the modifications I am doing. So far I have completed the carbon strut bar and full see-thru engine cover. I am planning on doing a bunch of interior mods now (Leather, PDK shifter, phone mount, etc), which I will update. Click below to take you to the newest addition, or whatever one you are interested in. Happy to answer any questions.

I will be updating THIS post with completed projects. So far we have....

✅ 1) Carbon'ize the Strut Bar - viewtopic.php?p=32317#p32317
✅ 2) Clear Engine Cover + GT4rs style OIL/WATER Cover
viewtopic.php?p=32501#p32501

Project 1: Carbon'ize the Strut Bar

This is by far the simplest part of this project. Take off the top trim pieces (where the seatbelt comes out of), and unscrew the strut bar. That's it. Done.

I had 2 options. Option 1: Buy a $500 to $1,000 carbon strut bar from a place like DBcarbon... Option 2: Buy $15 bucks worth of high quality 3m vinyl from a wrap shop and do it myself....

I picked option 2

Very nice. Where did the carbon fiber strut bar come from?

Well I could have spent $500 to $1,000 on a carbon fiber strut bar from DBcarbon etc. But instead, I bought some high quality carbon vinyl from a wrap shop for $15 bucks, and did it myself lol. Really took my time.

I chose to not only the oil, water cover a la GT4RS, but the strut bar also. You did a great job. Also added CF to the dash and center console.

Hey, nice! I ordered the same oil/water cover as yours, should be here Monday. It looks really nice there!

Project 2: Clear Engine Cover + GT4rs Style OIL/WATER Cover

Some common questions...

Noise: hardly any increase in engine noise. Just an increase in induction sounds. You also hear tiny little things an engine does that is always hidden from sound dampening. No drone. On the highway, I would say there is no change in sound at all.

It has numerous rubber/foam gaskets, and every single edge has a rubber gasket on it. Very well engineered.

Mount, Lighting, Rubber Gasket, GT4rs style Oil/Water cover trim, Clear Engine Cover!

Step 1: Take off the Engine Cover.

Step 2: Install the Engine Cover mounting hardware, and lighting (so its connected to the rear trunk lights) and Gold Engine Line Shrouds (for looks mostly, I know I don't need heat protection ha).

Step 3: Put it ALL back together with the new GT4rs style oil/water cover.

Where did you get the CF oil and water caps, never seen them before?

I made them. I got vinyl stickers made (Porsche and Oil/Water), then 3m'ed the disks on the plastic caps. Perfect fit.
