It’s been a few years building this car. I’ll have the interior completed in a few weeks. Getting everything how I wanted has been fun, and worth the wait. Just adding my own touches to the car at this point. Titanium knobs, dyed the carpet, new front seats, all new dash trim, keyless entry, 10 speaker panels, big brakes, big spare tire to fit. The last piece of carpet I needed was the rear seat back. I found Newark Auto on eBay and they made me a piece out of sliverknit. Matches factory carpet perfect. One issue I have is the late 968 door panels are not resting on the door tabs up top. The widow scraper is higher on the inside panel. Anyone ever come across this issue?

Wow, the underside looks better than new, literally. I have 968 door cards in my 951 and, despite all the reassurances online to the contrary, I had to 'make' them fit. The primary issue for me were the mounting screws along the bottom edge. They simply did not line up and weren't even close. Can you get those to drop onto the door ledge without anything else attached?

Thanks, Tom! I did drop in on the ledge without anything attached, but it overhung the bottom and the door wouldn’t close. It’s like the top of the panel is “flattened” some.

i ran 968 door cards in mine for a few years and had the same fitment issues as you and Tom. I returned to stock 944 door cards.

Hey Guys, thanks for sharing the door card issue. I've been eyeing the 968 cards as well but now need to rethink what to do, so I appreciate the share...saved me time and money!
Pestilance68, looks like you will have a great car when completed and love the change in seats!

My car is an 88. So I’m not sure if the doors are different. All of the screw holes lined up perfectly, as well as the push pins. I asked my buddy dan who has a 95 968 to look at the top of his panel, and the felt scraper on the inside higher then the outside. So it’s either the design or the sun/heat has warped the top panel.
