I've long wondered if a 3rd party may engineer the turbos for Vitesse...

They still are, I think: https://tialsport-outlet.com/collection ... -mount-kit

I picked one up a while back - it won't come w/bolts and requires per TiAL (all SHCS iirc):

6 pcs M10x1.5x25mm
3 pcs M8x1.25x15 or 16mm

And then to mount turbo M8x1.25x25mm and 50mm. Drain on the bottom side is 3/8 npt (I fit some -8 adapters just fine, but clearance is tight!).

I have had a Raptor turbo with Vitesse intake for a while. It bolted in quickly, but I had to modify the water pipe to fit. No issues after several years. It replaced a Garrett dual ball-bearing turbo that was blowing smoke, and no parts were available to rebuild. The original Garrett seemed to have more in the higher RPMs but the Raptor has been reliable and looks stock.

That leaves me with two options, a turbo rebuild or take my losses and buy a new turbo. If I went with the second option who is making modern turbo's for our cars ? I've read everywhere about the Voodoo's and UltraSpool's from M44 Performance but looks like their shop isn't open anymore.
M44 performance is gone.
Really? Is the "Premier" Facebook group gone with it?

Which turbo do you have mounted to the tail?

For bolt on or refurbishing a turbo another vote here for Evergreen. Can’t go wrong.

The Facebook group carries on, there is plenty of good information to be found on all 944 groups if some critical thinking is applied and you avoid the petty squabbles that originated on Rennlist. Back to the turbos......

At the moment it's not even on the car :D I'm one of the guys with an Evergreen K26, and it's been pretty damn fun.

Picked one up because I wasn't sure how long they'd be available. I like to entertain fantasies about a Garett twin scroll :)

I spoke with Charlie on the phone earlier and I will be sending my turbo out to him, We had a great conversation and he told me @blade7 that yes he used to build some of the Vitesse turbos he'll be able to tell once the turbo is with him. Now time to check off some other items on the list before it ships back :D

I suspect that Vitesse wouldn't reveal what the spec of his turbos was, because he didn't want buyers knowing who designed and builds them, and bypassing him. Someone very well regarded in the Porsche world suggested he's a very good salesman. Nothing wrong with that, Lindsey buy in plenty of the stuff they sell.
