Germerican , zehr gut on all the work! I am one of those guys who does not have a 944 , but have driven many of my friend's and for a car whose design is closing in on 50 years ( 924/944/968 ) the design has stood the test of time , with elegance, strength and flowing beauty.

Here's my 1990 944 S2. I've owned this S2 since December 1997... so, 25+ years. It had 30,504 miles at acquisition, and now has around 155K. I drove it a lot the first few years, but the last few years or so have only averaged around 3K miles/year or less as my 70-mile RT commute went away after retirement.
Over time, I've spent $92,558 according to my spreadsheet This includes various wheel/tire updates, brake and suspension mods, cosmetic updates, etc. It recently got a new (yes, new) Porsche torque tube, new clutch, and new SPEC flywheel.
We currently have way too many cars for a 2-person family, so one of the Porsches may need to find a new home eventually.

The 944's and their brethren are simply awesome. I knew so little about them before (and that's still an appropriate statement), but thanks to Tom, Carpokes, and the passionate transaxle community here, I've had a great introduction.

What a great idea, Tom. These really are different cars, they need their own section. This is Gretchen, a 1988 S. I purchased her in 2019 in St Louis, MO, and I'm the fourth, and most committed, owner/custodian. She was in OK condition for a driver despite being a rolling fire hazard, but I'm slowly bringing her back into excellent shape. A few of the details have been subjects of my blog, but there has been a lot more than that done, and a lot more on the way. There's a full engine/trans/brake system rebuild, new Zermatt Silver paint job, leather front seat re-covering, and a new workshop in her near future, which I'm hoping to find the time to write about here and in the blog. There are also a couple of electronics projects in the works right now that I'll be sharing once they get past the prototyping stage and are ready to install. Teaser - these 2 projects have to do with oil temperature and idle/AC control.

And here is my 1989 S2 with just over 110K on the odometer. I’ve owned it since 2017 and picked it up from a PCA Mart post that was listed by a museum in Georgia that was storing it. The story I got from the museum curator - “the owner bought from the original owner to use as a track car. He never had a chance to track it, so he was storing it to hide it from his significant other, and needed to get rid of it”. No way to know for sure what the real story but I was entertained enough to buy it. It is not a high spec car but it is clean, unmodified (except for adding 030 suspension), and a dream on the road. Last year I was super honored have it be selected for the classics colors of Porsche exhibit at Rennsport Reunion 7 which was hoot. Bonus points for whoever can figure out what my license plate means
