WPE9 Campaign - Replacing oil filler neck

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a copy of the text of this campaign? I'm trying to understand how the back glass can be cracked... apparently, if you pry on the trim, it can happen.

Apparently, the 992 GT3 and GT3RS are affected, and a good number of them. Doesn't show up on the recall checker, but they wouldn't deliver a CPO'd car to me because of it... and then broke the back glass trying to perform. :(

Thanks!

Hey Kit, just emailed you. As for this question, I'll include it in the #newsletter if you don't get a good answer by the end of the week. Sure hope they are fixing the glass on their dime! I've heard of the light-weight glass breaking, but this sounds like a different issue. Or was it light-weight glass?

I haven't taken delivery of the car yet, so yes, on their dime. I don't see lightweight glass on the window sticker, so I'm assuming it's standard... (unless the GT3's is lighter by default?)

For anyone curious: https://rennlist.com/forums/992-gt3-and ... an-rs.html

turns out, there is a trim piece that needs to be removed to get to the oil filler neck and if you pry against the rear glass to get that trim up, you can break the glass. Apparently that is what happened. :(

I was not aware of this.

Just got a letter about recall for 992 GT3s with carbon bucket seats. Also got a warning light recently.

Time to go to the dealer!
