Hi,

my name is Jürgen from Germany, living not far from Stuttgart. I'm new here in the forum, but I make since long time video tutorials on classic Porsche cars. I'm proud to present you my newest video:

The video shows a step-by-step tutorial for adjusting the timing of the valves on the Porsche 968 with the VarioCam system for variable valve control. This adjustment is always necessary when parts of the valve control, such as camshafts, chain tensioner, slide rails or the timing belts have been replaced.



The video has a German soundtrack, the mother tongue of the Porsche cars, but detailed English subtitles are available on YouTube.

Oh cool, I have used your videos more than a few times over the years.

I might send you a PM in the future, I recently pulled the camshafts on my 91 S2 to replace the timing chain and need to set valve lift at some point, but it's "ok" for now. I was going to do a combination of your method the one by Van Svenson, to use one single gauge without any custom needle adapters to set it.
