When the ST was announced for production I decided to buy one...ST Turbo. 550BHP, comfy, brilliantly quick. I had the extra insulation and UV protection, a proper interior etc on the car.
However, they did not sell. Too expensive and the trend was to SUVs. I have a Cayenne GTS also and I see them all the time. Not the Panamera ST though.

There will be no more. The new Panamera announced this week will have no wagon. So I will keep the one I have. Apparently only about 10% of production so they are indeed uncommon. Very happy I bought one when I could......

I would concur that the announcement officially cements your striking Panamera Sport Turismo as a keeper.

Lucky you! I don't like the sedan but being a wagon freak I love the ST. A supurb 5 door shooting brake.

I was in Germany and Austria recently. We saw scads of big Merc and Audi wagons (even a few on the 'Ring) but I don't recall seeing a single one of these.

so sad to see such an absolute bahn-stormer go to waste. opposite to the whole situation with the normal 8th-gen golf being unavailable in the u.s., we did not buy the right one. However, no matter the trim level, i suspect the 971.2 will be the e39 m5 of panemaras one day

It was surprisingly good on the Ring and at Spa. The standard brakes got very hot at Spa which is much quicker but otherwise it did amazing well for a car of its size. Ovbiously power was not issue- 550 BHP is plenty:)......

I had an E39 M5 when it was new and I was in my very long BMW period. It was a wonderful car. Sorry I sold it. The other car I mourn was the 997.2 GT3RS which I sold due to space and needed room for the 991RS at the time. Can't keep them all sadly.

I suspect I will hang on to this one. I had it specced exactly as I wanted and I am happy with it. In two weeks I am driving it down to Arizona where it will spend the winter. Perfect for storming across the US regardless of weather. I have proper winter rims on it with winter performance tires so should be OK:)........

Not everyone likes them but that's OK. Pic was taken up in Northern Germany at a hotel near the Harz Mountains.

I had not really thought of rarity but it occurred to me that if we look at 2022 US sales of the Pana at 3200, say 300 ST, Turbo say 20% if that we would get 60 ST Turbo in US and less than 10 in Canada .

I have actually never come across another turbo ST:)

Well I know they're not bringing back a third gen. Sports Turismo to one of the sexiest looking wagons out there. Porsche is shooting themselves in the foot here because they are pricing some of their cars way too high for a younger generation to buy. I know they're pushing the Macan at the younger market but I have never liked it and feel it bings the image of Porsche down even though they are selling a ton of them. Thankfully I got my "Sports Turismo" and I'm going to enjoy it as my last great cars that I've owned in my life.
