2001 911 4 cab horn not working

Horn works with key off not with key on, ? Ignition switch bad?

If you look at the clock spring in your steering wheel, I believe it has two wires that connect to the horn contacts. The ground wire (probably brown) is known to break internally, which apparently causes the horn to work with the ignition off, but not on. You can see the wires in the pelican part below, but with any luck you can just just patch the brown wire and avoid a costly repair. :)
