Who is going to the 50th Anniversary Solo Nationals?

Looking forward to meeting some of you on Carpokes at the Solo Nationals , though I will be running with my son in his EVO 9. Always plenty of Porsches competing at the event and it is a great place to get data on what is the hot ticket. It is not surprising to see the hot tire set-up completely change in one year to the next. Will be running 91 in a Silver SSP EVO 9 and I may have my Cayman if the Siem Cicero docks and unloads in Houston soon enough. Won't be running it since I won't have anytime to break it in, but plan on a solid Time Trial Schedule in 2024!

The break in is so very important - good to hear you're an adherent of that. Congrats on your soon-to-arrive Cayman! Please tell us about it.

2024 Chalk Cayman GTS, PDK ( hard decision as I love manuals ) , full bucket seat , deviated color on Carrera style wheels done in Agate Gray Metallic, fire extinguisher, premium package, chalk seat belts and that is about it. Will track and the exhaust is so sweet , no need for a radio upgrade, ha.

Nice!! I love my Cayman. I never, ever turn the radio on in that car. Ever. And, as much as I love MTs (and I do as I've had many MT vehicles in my life), the PDK is so awesome - words cannot describe it. You WILL be faster on track, much faster, with the PDK vs the same car with MT.
I am adding a Soul Performance OTA as we speak and in a few weeks a Cargraphics Valve Controller or possibly an M-Engineering tune

. Will have to weigh some potential issues regarding wty on that second option/choice.
Here's an older thread that I posted to with a list of upgrades I had done to that point. There's more shared around Carpokes with Jdub and others regarding track alignments, upgrades, etc.

I have always run manuals road racing or doing Time Trials ( Vipers, Spec Miatas, Boss Mustangs, Boss 302S, Mach 1, GT 350 ) and it was hard to switch, but instructing in NASA and PCA it takes about 2 seconds to realize the Porsche specs on the PDK to 60 or through the quarter are spot on --- 1/2 a second. I guess close to 25 years of perfecting heel and toe just went out the window, ha.

Yes. I was most proud of my heal/toe skill in the Corvette track car - I could make it sound like I knew what I was doing with that fine Golen LS7 race engine and the crisp downshifts (it was a lot of fun) but no more - the GT4 PDK gave me religion!!!

Well great, I am hoping the PDK is a " Hallelujah " moment for me also, ha!
