Thumbs up or thumbs down? I like the more refined, sleeker look.

The changes are mighty subtle, but do combine to make it a little sleeker. Looks good and maintains the heritage of the crest, so if they had to change it, I like that they maintained the essential look and feel. I'll allow it.

I like the refresh. It's cleaner and looks the best to me although in the big scheme of things I guess it doesn't really matter in the end.

Besides, I would have never noticed unless it had been pointed out to me.

I like it but I agree it's quite subtle.

I could see the new crest on my 718, but not on my former '72 911T. I had to hunt a decent 'orange bar' early replica for that car. The translucent maroon bars just weren't right for the restored early car.

On the new one, I do like the new honeycomb background for modern cars, as it ties in with the same pattern on many of the current cars. On my 718 the honeycomb is visible inside the headlights.

Typical Porsche evolutionary design, subtle yes, but more refined and modern without ruining it ... yes.

And if you get a new 2024 Cayman GTS you get the ......... drum roll...................old crest!! Gotta use up those old emblems before we send out the new ones , it appears. Wonder how deep into 2024 before one gets the new design , or if you have to pay 150K plus to get the update, ha!

IMO, the old crest is appropriate for what may be the last of the ‘old school’ Porsche cars.
