Has anyone found any seat covers, suitable for quick placement/removal, that can be used to protect the leather following a gym workout? I've found seat covers, but they all seem to be a semi-permanent installation - where you have to remove the headrest to install them. What I'm looking for is something that just slips over the headrest that covers the back as well as the seat, made out of terry-cloth (or similar) - so It can be put on and removed in seconds, and of course washed.
Regards,
Rich

Take oversized solid color cotton towels 63" long by 32" wide, fold in half (16" x 63"), sew the top 16" seams together. Center the sewn side over the headrest and fold out the rest of the towel over the seat and voila, a sturdy, simple washable seat cover!

It may not be a Concours level upgrade but it does the job and is good temporary protection to get one home without possibly damaging seats

My wife keeps two in the Cayenne (dedicated distance bicycle rider - sweaty and sunscreen laden) and I keep one in the GT4 in case I'm filthy/sweaty after a track day or whatever.

I bought thin plastic covers -- the kind a mechanic might use. I bought them for when I'm working on a car, but use them embarrassingly often when just driving the car when I'm grungy for any reason...

Seems as though plastic would slide around and be sticky, hot and uncomfortable. They will protect the seats, no doubt about that, but I couldn't do them for much more than an around the block drive (like mechanics do). :D

When we need covers it's usually for longer drives. The cotton towels make that doable.

Fair points, especially for someone sticky from the gym. I use them around town if I've been working in the garage or yard and don't feel like changing. :)

My car won’t let me in if I’m not recently showered. 😉😉

Don't laugh, but try the beaded thingys taxi drivers use. I used to scoff at them until I bought a car from my dad, who swore by them. They were actually quite comfy. They'd give your sweaty bod ventilation too.

The fact that those still exist didn't even cross my mind - it's been forever since I remember seeing any and had totally forgotten about them. But I just looked them up and there they are! Everybody has 'em for sale - tons of diff ones at Amazon.

I actually bought mine on Amazon - package of two for $60.

The work great, fast on and off, and they don't shrink in the wash. (I have avoided putting them in the dryer.)

Rich
