@Southbama
I think we might have discussed this before elsewhere on Carpokes, but I also had a '72 240Z. I drove the wheels off that car, almost literally. Put right at 175k miles on it in 8-years of ownership and it still didn't burn a drop of oil. Drove and handled like a dream, largely unheard of in the 70s. What a car. Overall, it was at the pinnacle of all the cars I've ever owned. Unfortunately, even though I had it Ziebarted and wand-washed it constantly, brutal Michigan winters and tons of salt did it in. :(

They were brilliant cars for the time. You could literally change the oil without getting under them. With the ‘73 240Z, I stripped it down to where it only had the dash and the glass on it.
Had engine rebuilt and bored with Racer Brown cam and 3 2-barrel Weber carbs, header, dual exhaust with glass packs,Koni struts, Mullholland springs, solid suspension bushings, larger front sway bar and added rear sway bar,Recaro seats, all new interior and an Imron paint job. Shortly after completing the project I ran out of talent on a wet road one night and buried it head on into a large oak tree. Ended up parting it out to recover a lot of what I spent. 20 years old and quite stupid!

Sorry about the unfortunate ending but we all learn by our mistakes (hopefully) :angel:. However, the rest of your saga is all good!

Will mention that I loved all these cars, even the Odyssey, but for some reason the 85 Honda Accord 4 door 5gear manual was just so fun to drive. It was so balanced with the right amount of power. The clutch and shifting was like butter. It was light and nimble. Loved it.
