Long time enthusiast.
My cayenne of 9 years has turned to 100000 miles today. Doing great but about to be out of dieselgate warranty. I really have enjoyed this ride and I am seriously considering new cayenne vs holding on to this until another major diesel issue.
Thoughts about older diesels, I know…. and don’t need a lecture about the problems with the new cayennes and the price.
Great new forum.

Congrats!
I got my Cayenne Diesel right after they came back from the recall (for cheap because I think Porsche thought no one would buy them) and even though I still have another 35k to go in order to match yours, I don’t think I’ll ever sell her. For the size, comfort, towing, and the MPG, it just can’t be beat for an SUV IMHO.
I’m waiting to see what the full electrics Porsche has in the works. But I’ll still probably keep my diesel just for towing and Home Depot runs.
Congrats again!

Nice picture!! 100,000 on the nose, no less!
First of all, welcome to Carpokes! It is a friendly forum to ask questions, share ideas, thoughts, pictures, etc. and a great place just to browse. And, by the way, we like pictures so feel free to post away.
I have no input to your question other than to say that there's probably no wrong answer. Maybe keep the diesel and get a new one too?

We love our 2019 Turbo - bought new 4-yrs ago and no complaints whatsoever.
A Cayenne refresh is on the way - same 3rd Gen platform but with styling and other undisclosed (to me) refreshes due - I have not seen nor read any substantiated specifics. I guess Porsche is keeping it under wraps a bit, although not sure why.
After that, the 4th Gen Cayenne is tentatively scheduled around or shortly after mid decade and will include all-electric versions although I hope that they keep an ICE.
In addition, there's this:
"Porsche is also planning to expand its product portfolio upwards with an all-electric SUV positioned above the Cayenne" as quoted from a March 13th press release following Porsche's annual meeting featuring Oliver Blume and others.

Thanks for the generous welcomes
This is why the decision is so hard. I truly love this SUV.
It has all things going for it that are great when it’s working well. It only takes one DEF problem or high-pressure fuel pump issue like I suffered at 68k to ruin your week. Fortunately, that entire engine out issue was paid for under this extensive warranty that we have.
Will probably go to hybrid, I agree will wait a year to two for the new toys to come out.

That IS a tough choice!
We are just over 100k on our 2011 Turbo. I love the thing, but it has had some issues. Great highway cruiser we obtained after we sold off an X5 Diesel my wife loved. I was just worried about all those expensive diesel systems going out.
Good luck either way.

I bought a new 2016 Diesel after Dieselgate. Love the 38mpg! I tow my 356 in a 20ft enclosed trailer with no problems I use 20-40 full syn. Amsoil, thin oil will kill your engine...Ask GM
My engineer grandson gets 41MPG,with euro spec. exhaust & a chip.

I started smelling a sweet smell of antifreeze and turns out my valley is full of this wonderful, red syrup
I like to turn wrenches, but things are getting a little out of hand.
Local Porsche shop says it’s not covered because it’s a coolant thing and not an emissions thing, about a $4000 job for them.
Really wanted to wait for the new hybrid maybe make a decision sooner
